Abstract

The article examines the essence of education, taking into account various scientific directions and specialties. Its role in the formation of national and international security is substantiated. The problematic aspects affecting the effectiveness of the functioning and development of the education system are studied. The reasons for the decline in the quality of education are systematized. The urgency and necessity of reforming the education system is emphasized. The main directions of reforming the sphere of education, contributing to strengthening the attractive international image of the state, are proposed.
