CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF CRIMES COMMITTED IN PENITENTIAL INSTITUTIONS OF THE SUBJECTS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

The article examines the characteristic features of crimes committed in penitentiary institutions on the territory of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as the reasons for committing crimes in penitentiary institutions. The conditions of the criminal subculture that influence the commission of crimes in places of deprivation of liberty by a person serving a sentence are analyzed. The shortcomings of the modern penitentiary system are identified and ways to eliminate them are proposed.
