The concept of ideal-oriented education as a basis for the implementation of state policy

In today's world, the priority vector for the development of the Russian state is seen in the civic and patriotic education of the youth, that is based on traditional spiritual, moral, cultural and historical values. The theoretical foundation of this process is the concept of ideal-oriented upbringing, developed on the basis of a historical and pedagogical analysis which shows the genesis of the ideal-oriented ideas in Russian pedagogy of the late XIX - late XX centuries. This article explores the theoretical aspects of the concept: it clarifies the conceptual and categorical apparatus, characterizes the structural components, functions and axiological determinants of ideal-oriented education, and formulates its patterns and principles in the context of contemporary state policy.References
