Are Erich Fromm's pedagogical views relevant today?

Abstract

This article analyzes the pedagogical views of the eminent philosopher and psychologist Erich Fromm. It examines and interprets the thinker's views on the mission of education and its role in shaping the character of individuals who make up a social community. It substantiates the thesis that responsibility for the moral healing of society lies with education, which embraces the immutable and unchangeable laws of human moral existence. It is noted that Fromm's pedagogical position remains relevant today.
