In the 21st century, children in many regions of the world face severe challenges such as poverty, chronic malnutrition, and climate disasters. According to UN estimates, approximately 1.3 billion children suffer from multidimensional poverty, lacking access to essential services such as education, free healthcare, and social protection. Meanwhile, combating child poverty and ensuring access to general education and public healthcare are included in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using the 2030 Agenda indicators as a guide, the author analyzes the progress of achieving the SDGs related to children. Some cases of the BRICS countries are described to demonstrate the diversity of situations and life conditions of the younger generation.References
