Abstract

This paper examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) use on the learning experience of students from both technical and non-technical backgrounds. The study focuses on various aspects such as academic performance, level of engagement, interaction with instructors, and perception of academic disciplines. During the research, students who used AI for educational purposes and those who did not do it were interviewed. Using statistical tests, including the Mann-Whitney U test and correlation analysis, the study found that AI use did not significantly impact academic performance, interest, class attendance, or time spent on studying. However, a potential difference in engagement levels and frequency of teacher feedback was identified among humanities students, which requires further investigation. The study's findings emphasize that despite the increasing use of AI in education, its impact on critical aspects of the learning process remains limited. This fact emphasizes the need for further consideration and adjustment of educational practices in light of the implementation of artificial intelligence
