Motivation in action or Activity as motivation

Abstract

The article shows that motivation, activity, goals and values of an individual are closely interconnected, forming a semantic network of nonlinear, sometimes even latent relations between these categories. It is this semantic core, reborn by an individual, that allows him to search for meaning in a specific life situation. The authors propose an adaptive version of the application of psychological and pedagogical theory in teaching people with different educational needs, different ages, as well as in rehabilitation centers for students predisposed to various types of addiction. It has been established that motivation directs activity, which, in turn, realizes goals and helps the individual to establish values that determine personal development and self-realization as the highest goal. This process can occur cyclically, forming a kind of motivational-goal spiral.
