Formation of students' research competencies in the system of student scientific associations

Abstract

The article analyzes the ways of forming the research competencies of university students through the organization and management of the system of student scientific associations. The periods of formation of student scientific societies in Russia are described, their main functionality is revealed. The importance of the formation of students' research competencies through the integration of science and education in different types of universities is presented. The experience of the II All-Russian seminar-meeting "Problems and tasks of organizing research work of university students of the Russian Federation" was analyzed, which was attended by about a thousand people involved in the formation of research competencies. The workshop was held in the format of a foresight session using the focus group method. The main purpose of the seminar was to comprehensively discuss the strategies and tactics of student scientific associations as a key element in the formation of research competencies of young people and the cultivation of research personnel in the interests of innovative and scientific and technological development of Russia. Within the framework of the seminar, a study was organized in which 10 focus groups took part, working on the following topics of the development of student scientific societies: the development of technological entrepreneurship, development in the context of personnel policy, in the context of infrastructural and economic policy, psychological and socio-pedagogical support for the activities of student scientific associations, associations focused on fundamental scientific research, on popularization research activities aimed at the development of educational and youth policy, as well as the third mission of the university and in the context of scientific policy. Based on the results of the focus groups, the materials of the groups working on the problems of science and education are taken for scientific analysis. The analysis is carried out through an integrative approach in an interdisciplinary context. It has been established that there are barriers to the development of student scientific associations: regulatory, administrative and managerial, infrastructural. A model of integration of student scientific associations into the educational process is proposed, taking into account the formation of research competencies on the example of enlarged groups of scientific specialties 37.00.00 Psychological sciences and 44.00.00. Pedagogical sciences.
