Model of systemic implementation of encouragement in the character education process of school

Encouragement has long been successfully used in teaching. However, this tool has not yet been widely implemented in the field of character education. Teacher’s encouragement of students’ good behavior is outweighed by criticism for their misconduct. The purpose of the article is to determine the types, principles and rules of behavior encouragement based of a comparative analysis, as well as to design a model for the systemic introduction of encouragement into the educational process of the school. The model involves the adoption by the school of a code of incentives, which has the following components: training seminars for teachers, debate on the school’s adoption of a system of rating or tangible incentives for the positive behavior of students, systematic inspiring of school community members to acknowledge the positive actions of others, research seminars on the work being done. The key points of the article can be used in designing character education programs for schools, in theoretical studies of character education issues and in comparative analyzes of pedagogical systems.References
