Abstract

The paper considers some general theoretical provisions of a civil suit in criminal proceedings, examines the views of legal scholars concerning the expediency of this type of claim. The author analyzes some problems, and dispute issues of practical application of legislation. The article presents the statistics of civil suits in criminal proceedings, as well as the trends in developing legislation in this area.
