Abstract

This article refers to the fact that Russian law at all stages of existence included norms protecting intangible goods, establishing liability for their violation. The category of honor, dignity and business reputation, by their legal nature, are included in intangible goods, and thus, these rights of citizens are also protected by law. The legal basis for the protection of intangible goods in the Russian Federation is: the Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the Law of the Russian Federation «On Mass Media» and other regulatory legal acts.
