Abstract

The paper is devoted to the question of modern personnel policy of one of the leading world powers Great Britain. The tendencies in the development of the civil service, its priority directions have been studied. Based on the analysis of the strategic document for the management of cadres of the civil service the author designates activities that contribute to improving of the effectiveness of the government.
