Abstract

The collapse of the USSR led to the decline and disintegration of the culture of scientific relations in the North Caucasus. There are new centers of Caucasian studies in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tbilisi, Nalchik Pyatigorsk, Armavir, Ekaterinodar, Rostov, who continued the study of the past in the region.
