Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the intelligentsia. There its origins and the process of formation in the Russian context is traced. The author tries to find an answer to the question: is it possible the revival of the intelligentsia in Russia today? The article also touches upon the problems of the intelligentsia in the North Caucasus region.
