Abstract

Among the important characteristics of activities of state bodies of greatest interest is the efficiency, because it is impossible to carry out the economic transformation in Russia, implementation of strategic programs. Along with the term “efficiency”, “efficiency” is often used as an indicator of activity, which means achieving the desired goal. The relationship of performance effectiveness can be traced through such categories as purpose, motive and criterion for the evaluation of management results. Analysis of various theoretical approaches to determination of essence of concepts leads to the conclusion that the performance is an integral criterion of efficiency of public administration.
